I was surprised to find a Burden Brothers community on lj, so this is really cool.
I love them, the first time I heard Beautiful Night I was blown away, even more so after hearing some of their other stuff.

Burden Brothers are like orgasms for my ears..I have loved them since the reunion tour for the Toadies, Vaden played a Burden Brothers song alone at the end and I was in love.....I have an autographed used drumstick from Taz and I was stoked because I got to shake Vaden's hand...yummy....that man is sex....

OK well I am looking forward to sharing with all of you!

I'm new. Just thought I'd say hi. I've seen these guys 8 or 9 times since I was introduced to them by a friend a couple of years ago, and even though they're rather new on the scene they're absolutely one of my favoritest bands. Love, love, love.
I even like thier cover of "Can't Let Go" better than Lucinda Williams', and that's saying something.

Hello all. I'm Nixxi. I'm new to the community. I saw the Burden Brothers in Tyler, Texas at Clicks Billiards on August 28.

I walked past the band & I just smiled really big. To me, Vaden Todd Lewis is a big rockstar in my book. I have been a fan of the Toadies since I was 12. Everytime I think about Dallas, their song, Possum Kingdom is my soundtrack. Well, they started their set & no one wanted to go up to the stage with me. So, I went alone. I was left front. Right in front of oh-so-sexy Casey Hess. His eyes were so piercing. Vaden was real close to me, too. Taz Bentley was really nice & cool. They didn't play any Toadies stuff which made me kinda sad. Not even the song called Tyler.

I did get all their autographs. Casey kinda laughed that I had a piece of paper to get signed when everyone else had CDs, posters & promo pics. I said, "Casey, I'm poor, at least I am prideful enough to have you sign this." He said, "Well damn, that's awesomely cool."

Great great show. Can't wait to see them again.

I meant to post this after I went to the show but forgot to.

I went to the Burden Brothers show at the Woodshed in Columbia, SC, on May 5. I left Florence around 6:15 p.m. headed for Columbia, and I truly was in great spirits. As I approached Columbia, I tuned into the modern rock station there, 93.5 FM. The DJs said that Burden Brothers had been there earlier in the day and performed. They played "Beautiful Night." It was great. After the song, the DJs announced that people could see the band at the Woodshed and that the show was one of the station's "low dough" shows, meaning admission was $2. This REALLY heightened my mood. I was thinking, "Hell yeah. This is turning out great!"

Burden Brothers went on around 11 p.m. Vocalist Vaden Todd Lewis acted like someone had lit a fire under his ass. He came out firing. I thought he was going to blow his voice out during the first song! I was thinking, "Dude, please calm down. I don't want this to be a repeat of May 2001." Oddly enough, that was the last time I saw him with the Toadies, and that show was in Columbia as well. Luckily, Todd's voice held up, and Burden Brothers played for an hour and 20 minutes. They were energetic, very entertaining and sounded great.

They did "Do For Me" toward the end of their set, and it was one of the best live performances I've ever seen anyone do. They turned the song into a long jam, and Casey and Corey went out in the audience to play. There was just so much energy and enthusiasm in the group all night, but especially during this song.

They put on a very good show. I can't wait to see them again and again and again.

Dude, if you haven't seen this shit, click it NOW. It's fucking awesome.

"-- singer Vaden Lewis of the Toadies, drummer Taz Bentley of Reverend Horton Heat, bassist Casey Orr of GWAR, guitarist Casey Hess of Doosu and Texas scenester guitarist Corey Rozzoni -- the Brothers are something of a supergroup... Band members pore over their Web site, routinely offering tour reports, chat-room updates and other treats. Not exactly supergroup behavior."

LAMF's, yo:

"In my eyes, our street teamers are the ones who helped Vaden and I decide to make a run at the biz one more time," states band co-founder Taz Bentley. They are worthy of a title (L.A.M.F.'s) and they wear it proudly ... and lucky for us they are growing in numbers daily!" Adds Lewis, "Our L.A.M.F.ers have been busting their ass since the very beginning. They download and distribute flyers, promote the band on the web and all sorts of things." Perhaps that's why The Burden Brothers are finding success on the road and on the radio as independent artists without the major label madness."
